Special trip to photograph hummingbirds in the north and south of Peru. 

This tour offers the best opportunities to photograph the spectacular Rufous-crested Coquette and the endemic Marvellous Spatuletail, as well as nearly 50 other species such as the endemic Royal Sunangel, Swordbill Hummingbird, Koepcke's Hermit, Booted Racket-tail, Emerald-bellied Puffleg, Chestnut-breasted Coronet, Wire-crested Thorntail, Collared Inca, Rufous-vented Whitetip, Goulds Jewelfront, Violet-headed Hummingbird and many more.

A great photographic trip to the most diverse place in the world. 

We will travel from the Andes mountains of Cusco down to the rivers of the Amazon in the famous Manu National Park. During our tour we will photograph fantastic bird species like the Andean Cock of the Rock, King Vulture, Golden-headed Quetzal, different toucans, tanagers and many hummingbirds, like the Rufous-Crested Coquette, Wire-crested Thorntail and the Peruvian Racket-tail. But also mammals like the Giant Otter, different species of monkeys and with a bit of luck the spectacled bear. We will also visit the Macaw Clay lick.

During our photo tour we will visit various places to photograph species like the Toucan Barbet, Glistening-green Tanager, Flame-faced Tanager, Collared Aracary, Plate-billed Mountain-Toucan, Moss-backed Tanager, Giant Antpitta, Velvet-purple Coronet, Sword-billed Hummingbird, Torrent Duck, Red-headed Barbet, Golden-napes Tanager, Violet-tailed Sylph, Black-chinned Mountain-Tanager and Long-tailed Sylph.

Pantanal and Atlantic Forest

The Pantanal, the world's largest tropical wetland area is one of the destinations of this photo trip. These floodplains are home to fascinating birds, mammals and reptiles. Famous for its Jaguars, the Pantanal offers great opportunities to photograph this magnificent animal taking a bath or a nap at the waterside. The Giant Otter, Ocelot and the Giant Anteater and are also treats for wildlife photographers. Different species like the endangered Hyacinth Macaw, Green and Rufous Kingfisher, Jabiru, Plush-crested Jay, Toco Toucan and the Red-legged Seriema we will see through our lenses. 

The second half of the trip we will visit the Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica), characterized by a high biodiversity. Our target birds are the Red-necked Tanager, Green-headed Tanager, Red-breasted Toucan, Saffron Toucanet, Blond-crested Woodpecker, Yellow-fronted Woodpecker, Brazilian Ruby, Brassy-breasted Tanager, Festive Coquette, Violet-capped Woodnymph and the Golden-chevroned Tanager. The South American tapir makes a regular appearance at the lodge where we will stay.

Cordillera Central and Occidental

In the last years, Colombia became one of the best places in South America to photograph birds. During this photo tour we will visit the best places in the Central and Western mountain range of the Andes. Here we will find many beautiful gardens with bird feeders. We will also visit the famous feeding places for Antpittas, Woodquails and Tinamu's. The photo opportunities are simply fantastic!
